A subsurface temperature of shallow ground is almost constant all through year, and seasonal temperature difference is small, not like air temperature. Thermal energy in shallow grounds is cold in summer and warm in winter comparing with air temperature. The Geothermal Heat Pump system efficiently uses this temperature differences for cooling/heating and snow melting.

This system does not use fossil fuels, such as petroleum and coal, so can reduce CO2 emission. Since this system is operated efficiency using a heat pump, it can greatly reduce electric power consumption, being eco-friendly, and energy-saving.
