Advantages of the Geothermal Heat Pump system

The geothermal heat pump system can be constantly used even in a cold district with an improved energy efficiency (coefficient of performance) comparing with an air source heat pump. Further, this system can greatly reduce carbon dioxide emissions more than system using fossil fuel. So, this system is in the spotlight as countermeasures against a heat island phenomenon in large cities in recent years.

1.Reduction of running cost

* The track record of the snow melting system in Akita shows that running cost of electric snow melting systems have been reduced to 1/6 by implementation of the Geothermal Heat Pump system.

4.Mitigation of the heat island phenomenon

Disposal of heat produced by air conditioning is generally radiated to atmosphere. This system stores exhausted heat to underground, and it mitigates the heat island phenomenon and also uses exhausted heat as heat source in winter.
