The groundwater has its origin (land water, sea water, etc.) and quality of it changes through processes of reactions and mixing with rocks and organic matters during migration and stagnation in the underground.
By studying the history of groundwater quality, it is possible to understand hydrology of groundwater. Based on this presumption, we can predict groundwater reserves of future for a long period of time covering a geological scale of time, in addition to understand the current change of groundwater.
