Evolving Maintenance Technology

Since we started operations in May 1958 as a facility safety company for Mitsubishi Metal and Mining Co., Ltd. (now Mitsubishi Materials Corporation), we have provided plant engineering and various equipment manufacture with the basis of our operations focused on maintenance for Mitsubishi Materials and other companies within the same group.

Our technology, of which the goal is to ensure safe and stable operations through maintenance and follow-up service, continues to evolve to meet the need for more advanced and complex facilities and equipment.

Our maintenance service network of 54 maintenance locations throughout Japan provides quick customer support using proposal-type maintenance based on advanced technology and safety.

Periodical Inspection of Machinery

Since we were established, we have continued to provide periodical inspections of machinery and equipment, including blowers, conveyors and large-scale overhead cranes. Our maintenance system based on our comprehensive technical capabilities is renowned for its strong customer satisfaction. Our consistent system allows us to undertake everything from construction planning to maintenance.

Emergency Response to Accident and Breakdown

We have a maintenance system that is able to provide quick emergency response to accidents or breakdown by having our permanent offices in each region throughout the country coordinate closely with the head office and branches as an emergency response center.

Crisis Prediction (KY Activities)

Ensuring safety is the top priority of our everyday maintenance work. Through pre-work risk prediction (KY) activities, we brainstorm measures for work risk factors, point out potential risks, and have everyone work toward safety. We set safety as a company target, and our goal is to be accident free.

Total Customer Support with a Nationwide Network

By systemizing our maintenance-based hardware operations at offices, including those of affiliated companies, and systemizing administrative work, maintenance and inspection work, and diagnostic work to prevent accidents before they occur at our Engineering Division and Advanced Equipment Division, we are integrating the experience of all offices and divisions for more efficient failure response. We are also combining our operations with software operations that utilize the capabilities of the systems team to provide consistent total support from software to hardware.

TPM Activities

Since 1998, we have been involved in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance/Total Profit Management) activities centered on operational improvement activities and individual improvement activities (reducing costs of production and construction) within the company. Currently, two branches, four offices and two plants are involved. During that time, the PM's Award for Outstanding Engineering from the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance was awarded to the Akita Technical Center, Naoshima Engineering Office and Joban Branch in 2003, the Akita Branch in 2004, and the Kurihara Engineering Office in 2005.

The methods developed with these TPM activities are providing more efficient and lower costing plant construction and maintenance for our customers.
