Safety and Health

Based on Mitsubishi Materials Group's code of conduct, which states that "prioritization of safety and health comes first," we establish the basic policies below to aim for the improvement of our safety and health standards.

Safety Policy and Basic Health

1. Establish an organizational structure to improve our safety and health standards, clarify responsibilities, and promote proactive and sustainable safety and health activities.
2. Aim to prevent occupational accidents and achieve "zero accidents" through close communications among executives, employees, and partner companies.
3. Strictly comply with Industrial Safety and Health Act, other related regulations, internal regulations, and engineering office regulations.
4. Provide necessary and sufficient education and training regarding safety and health to all of our employees and workers at partner companies.
5. Conduct Health and Productivity Management, promote initiatives to maintain and enhance employees' health, and create a positive work environment.

Our Safety Initiatives

We have set the following priority measures to create a positive, safe, and comfortable work environment without occupational accidents or illnesses for our employees and workers at partner companies.

Priority Measures

  • Thorough prevention of the four major disasters.
    • Strict compliance with and testing of disaster prevention measures against "entanglement," "cuts and scratches," "freefall," and "crashing and falling down."
  • Evaluation of repeated education on past disasters.
    • Eradication of the occurrences of similar disasters.
    • Case studies of past disasters (activities in small groups).
  • Enhancement of heat stroke countermeasures.
    • Preventative education and creation and implementation of work plans considering Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT).
    • Education on construction work schedule planning during the heat stroke season with client participation.
    • Promotion of heat risk point utilization
  • Prevention of Similar Incidents through the Utilization of Prevention Measures for the Recurrence of Occupational Accidents
    • Yearly review of occupational accidents and application of the findings to prevent their reoccurrences every six months.
  • Enhancement of Safety and Health Education
    • Promotion of experimental risk education using VR.
    • Enhancement of activities to promote Health and Productivity Management.
